JPU is a "Leaked" version that can be found on samfirmware.webs.com among all other versions.
It's a Samsung firmware that was not yet released via Samsung Kies which is the official (crappy)...

Android is not Maemo, you can't take linux/debian packages, compile for arm with minor adaptation and be done - So you won't be...

For me there are more important things android has that N900 will never have with Maemo (nokia's fault).
So whoever is satisfied with N900, it still has the video edge, no doubt...

Nope, sadly, but the voice quality is superb, better then land line quality, almost feels like CD-Quality but there is no stereo so can't say it CD-Quality :)

I don't know where you got the quote from, but I just talked with my dad about 5 minutes from skype on my galaxy s, and it was flawless over 3g.

N900 vs. Galaxy S - > I used to think there is no python support for android, I was wrong - Android Scripting Environment even has a droid class with access to all the hardware.
