plus, on formatting the memcard,
if u format it from pc, you'll jus get around 1.4gb partition..
you need to go to xterm and type

sudo gainroot
umount...

The section about getting the kernel without uboot back in place is not complete.

This command doesn't seem to do that
apt-get --reinstall install kernel-flasher

It doesn't seem to have...

You might want to add info about booting Maemo from u-boot using:

run noloboot


This way You don't have to remove the memory card to boot Maemo.

C/Python are my personal favorites (for GTK applications, and various other uses) :)
but if your planning to use QT i'd suggest that you stick with C++ ;)
