oh i had this problem too, problem started when i pressed W key and connected to PC somehow both PC and phone rebooted, and i got this problem few days - when i tried to boot into backupmenu...

I'm using http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p=1217968&postcount=253 and i don't see any problems. So this includes thumb errata workaround ? Is there any better kernel for n900 using Ubuntu :) ?

Results:
Target SD Card: Class 4
* Installing directly on phone consumes about 4 hours+.
* Installing into image takes about 40-45 minutes. Then copying to phone from image takes...

After i press login i got clear terminal, when something type in and execute nothing happens only enters new line..

Ok after 4 hours installation i get results:
i'm using http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=81613 u-boot.
immediately after successful installation i copied Ubuntu.item to /etc/bootmenu.d...

I agree with you everything is clear until i start script, and there is so many options i don't remember now where i failed, but i miss explanation of them, ex when i need to choose kernel i dont...
