Re: The N9 camera glare problem !

Unfortunately no amount post-editing cannot save overexposed images. You would have to set negative exposure correction or lower ISO before you take the shot.

Re: The N9 camera glare problem !

The camera itself (hardware) is fine, it's the camera app's inability to decently measure correct exposure that is the problem.

Fortunately there are lots of manual options in the menu including...

Re: UX continuity were droped since Harmattan (N9/N950) !

The N9 is quite a different experience as it has no "desktop", but the "views" -system where you see certain content in certain views. Perhaps the most dominant one is the apps-list, which received...

Re: MeeGo New UI Cannot Save Nokia on High-End Smartphone Market

I think the biggest competitor to MeeGo is:

WP7 and WebOS, and also ChromeOS, UNR, Jolibook.

I think the market is big enough (developers/apps/sales wise) for 3 major smartphone divisions. This...

Re: Is there a way to disable the 'Flip to Silence' function in N900 ?

No -> Bug 10011 - N900 stops ringing because of accidentially flipping it (https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10011)

Re: No Meego on Nokias E-series

No, the problem wasn't the lack of support - the problem was that we had to do a ABI break in order to get significant performance benefits along with alignment to other efforts at Linaro.

And...

Re: Why N900 failed on consumer market ?

I don't see how openness has anything to do with it. The reason Android and iOS have been so successful is that they have a) a user friendly and intuitive UX b) a robust and profitable app...

Re: Can MeeGo-Harmattan HE for N900 run the Apps programmed for Nokia N9 ?

you seem to be a bit confused with the Names (which is understandable), so i'll try to clarify things a bit:
there will be no MeeGo-Harmattan for the N900.

The Hacker's Edition of MeeGo will not...

The first thing we must know is that: is your N900 brand new or second-hand?

Say, what is the Firmware version(韌體版本) show in Setting(設定)->About the product(關於本產品)? Does it...

MeeGo hardware adaptation for N900

Hello Maemos & MeeGos,

It seems that the true nature of MeeGo has not really been understood by many, or if it is, people still like to create wrong kind of fuss, and use the name MeeGo in wrong...

Re: N900 vs Milestone/Droid vs NexusOne, Which one is the one, any suggestion ?

As far as I know the android-based phones have much better phone functionality.

The n900 phone support is basic but functional. It's a "computer first then phone". I'm more than happy with it.

Re: N900 vs Milestone/Droid vs NexusOne, Which one is the one, any suggestion ?

if you want hackability n900 is the one (or Palm Pre)

- Both the N1 and Milestone are more consumer devices.
- Some of the software on Android is much slicker.
- Be aware for the Milestone - the...

Re: Should I buy N900 now or wait for the Nokia Maemo 6 device ?

Question Re: Should I buy N900 now or wait for the Nokia Maemo 6 device ?

Although neither of your claims are strictly totally true, I agree you've got a point that Nokia should take notice of.

The N900 recently got a much needed - if fairly minor - OS upgrade so...

Re: Maemo device vs Android device/Apple iPhone: Upgradable Operating Systems

This isn't quite right. It requires a complete rebuild of the OS. On your desktop there is x86 and AMD64.. so the OS will still run.

OMAP-2 to OMAP-3 requires a complete recompile.

Then you...

Re: Should I buy N900 now or wait for the Nokia Maemo 6 device ?

IMHO, you can ask a lot of people whether you should buy or not a device, but the truth is that only you can get the right answer.

I decided not to wait until Maemo 6, so i would say "don't wait"....
