I decided to make a deb of it. I have no idea, if it works because I don't have N900 currently. According to feedback it works without issues when installed with dpkg.
Debug symbols were too big...

Either something is/was terribly wrong in the first version, or something's wrong on your device, that shouldn't be happening.
It only uses 3.8MBs of RAM for me.

As requested, red missed call icon. I'll get to rethinking the portrait mode later. I also cleaned up the unlock icon, and replaced the am/pm with a sun or moon. Icons take up a lot less space than...

Also, for now I'll be rather stubborn wrt the big bar placement for the landscape lockscreen. I think we can do something with the proximity sensor, so I'll leave that area free....

The other colourized notification bar was too colourful. I toned it down a bit.
I got rid of the current/total time for playback, and instead I have a countdown timer.
