I don't recall ever paying any money to Yahoo. Still, I seem to have this option: I had to to enable POP, to get Modest to actually access Yahoo Mail.
And no, I don't live in China...

Would activation of POP in your Yahoo! Mail account (http://help.yahoo.com/kb/index?locale=en_US&page=content&id=SLN3255) solve the problem?

No. I use Yahoo Mail, with web interface; I have yet to add it to N900 itself, since the primary source of Internet for N900 is USB cable, and then it's more comfortable to just open Yahoo Mail on...

No, some usb charger adapters have d+ and d- short circuited by default and some don't, so you have to see it yourself.

Ah, I kind of thought it would draw a minimal current in that case, something like 50mA or 100mA.
Makes sense though it does not take anything, as 50mA charging current is unusable anyway :D

When N9 notices short circuit in D+ D- it will charge upto 1A, and when it detects computer on the other end it will charge max 500mA.
And when it doesnt detect, then it charges 0.

You can make an adapter for your car chargers if you have problems.
