for translation , go into settings then click on T and then add translation and the select your version and the download it and the go back on the main page and hit T and choose your translation ...

no it wont lock your phone and using the Usb cable with Xp is the most stable way as windows 7 give error some times .
and it all depends on how good you read wiki while reflashing .

just simply replace the background image .
first see what is the background image name harick is using , then copy the image you wanted to use and then rename it as haricks and just place it in...
