Hi,

samsung has launched a TV-Remote app for all TV from 2010 with Eth.

Somebody got a solution for our N900?
Or knows the Protocoll so I could do it my own with Qt.

You might try that out and deactivate date-fetching.
You can also do an "ls -l" on the cache directory and see wether the files have a sensible size (some hundred kB, might also be some MB in size)....

Presumably because the apps don't show up by default (because they're all in the hidden section) and the standard apt-get package doesn't allow installation from the Ovi repository.

They are packed, so that's a problem. Every change triggers a repack. Diffs could be daily changes and a device could download a weekly snap, then additional diffs as days progress.
