Re: Nokia Shareholders - lawsuit against Nokia

Sorry to burst your Symbian bubble. Symbian is very dead. When I picked up N8, as it came out initially, I was amazed that NOKIA can put such a crap on the market. I knew then, that its over, and it...

Re: Nokia N900 to Nokia L900

Funny how a Finnish company bought that exact line and bet their entire company on that same premise.

What's worse. 1% of Americans thinking that WP7 is smooth and runs perfectly or a bunch of...

Re: Nokia N900 to Nokia L900

Last I checked, the Lumia 900 isn't on sale anywhere else yet.

Re: Windows Phone 7 on N900??

What do you think WP7 is currently running on? x86? It's ARM already.

My understanding is that they set minimum requirements in order to license the OS to avoid what has happened with Android...

Re: Windows Phone 7 on N900??

The OS you had on N900 out of the box was Maemo 5

Also, while it had copy, it also had a bad sound system, with shaky dropping audio, non-locking GPS, wifi that was stuck ON locking the CPU, no...

Re: Mayby the unpleasent truth is that Meego was such a threat Microsoft decided they just had to try to kill it?

That's the problem. Seeing potential in something that's unfinished, that came from an unfinished "social experiment" of an OS (Maemo) that never yielded anything finished is not a threat by any...

Re: Has nokia sold us all out to microsoft?

MS pays Nokia to use WP7....the more distrubution of WP7 the more people go to the Windows Market place Microsoft makes their money back end story.

Re: Maybe the unpleasant truth is that MeeGo really was too late and/or not good enough?

MeeGo was going to be late, regardless. Folks are too unwilling to admit that.

So instead, spread anger about WP7 - which, is easier to do since it's not full-featured as of yet nor is it a...

Maybe the unpleasant truth is that MeeGo really was too late and/or not good enough?

I know it's popular at the moment to lay all the blame at Elop or at Nokia management (current or past). But maybe the truth is really that MeeGo was just to late and not good enough?

The...

Re: Amazing - Elop lays the axe on Symbian, MeeGo and QT

Elop doesn't give a rat's *** about the Nokia userbase. He cares about the shareholders (whoever the hell they are) and reversing Nokia's sliding market share. The old Nokia (of late, anyway)...

# Second we need to unmount.
# This is usually the first partition of mmcblk1 "mmcblk1p1" so..

umount /dev/mmcblk1p1
