Re: iPhone 5S (iOS 7.1.1): The Journey Continues

I don't think the issue should be which phone or OS is better because that depends on the individuals needs. You may not want an IR transmitter but someone else may need it. You don't need an FM...

Re: iPhone 5S (iOS 7.1.1): The Journey Continues

Reading this thread I get a little confused about what devices can and can't do (correct or not). How about folks submit a list of features to directly compare with the different OS that are...

Re: iPhone 5S (iOS 7.1.1): The Journey Continues

Just this weekend some relatives'-in-law' were over at the place my partner and I are moving out of. We couldn't find the TV remote to an old large TV, but wanted to watch some show on it. Besides...

Re: iPhone 4S (iOS 5.1.1): A look back at the N900

I found this thread and saw some talk about MyPaint and I'm really surprised to see other fellow n900 users having some problems I've never really had because of a simple fix!

1. in MyPaint, go to...

He isn't trying to convince anyone, he's staying objective.

Just for you I'll translate that wall of text, basically he's saying:
Smartphones arent smartphones anymore, they are superphones.

Re: iPhone 4S (iOS 5.1.1): A look back at the N900

When you jailbreak the iPhone you pretty much give yourself r00t access and the ability to run unlicensed code.

You can theoretically play with the kernel, drivers and bootloader but that's hardly...

Re: iPhone 4S (iOS 5.1.1): A look back at the N900

I just come to think of this when reading most of this thread:

1: We don't see things as they are, we see things as we are.

2: If you judge a fish on it's ability to climb a tree it will always...

Re: iPhone 4S (iOS 5.1.1): A look back at the N900

Are you kidding? If I had a tuppence for every time I fished I had such a feature in my digital camera...! Nothing fancy - after all, I am not going to author DVDs on my phone. No, that would be...

Re: iPhone 4S (iOS 5.1.1): A look back at the N900

OK, I honestly did not know you can have a shell account on the iphone and access it remontely. That is really huge benefit, so I am surprised nobody ever mentioned it to me...

So, what...

Re: iPhone 4S (iOS 5.1.1): A look back at the N900

Why don't you upgrade?
The 0.5in size makes a big difference, the materials are much nicer and its more futureproof. Especially the new port.

Sure, there may not be a jailbreak for iPhone 5 now...

Re: iPhone 4S (iOS 5.1.1): A look back at the N900

With all due respect to your opinion, but who and why needs that on the go? I mean, when you're at home/work a laptop/desktop is much more comfortable to work with than a phone, and I can't find a...

Re: iPhone 4S (iOS 5.1.1): A look back at the N900

I like some of the information piling in this thread, but ultimately I have to side with xxxts.

The iPhone can do everything that's required of a modern smartphone, the N900 can't.

Nearly all...

Re: iPhone 4S (iOS 5.1.1): A look back at the N900

I remember the OP's other thread. Around that time my contract was up, my n900's usb port was getting loose...I made a hasty decision. 4S or lumia 900.

I've never set my n900 down, it's not with...

Re: [Announce] kernel-power v49

I think yes. I want to package u-boot into separate kernel-power package. But wait for v50. In v49 this wont happen.
