i don't know, pcmanfm supports samba since 0.4.4
do you have /usr/lib/gvfs ?
search also for gvfsd-smb and gvfsd-smb-browse
find /usr -type f | xargs grep -l gvfsd-smb
also, install 'fusesmb'

mh, i don't know exactly about thunar and pcmanfm (i don't use any file manager on my machines, always commandline tools) but maybe they require some packages, like 'gvfs' 'fuse-utils'...

i'm pretty sure that, since easy debian doesn't "install" debian on the device, but only chroots into a mounted image, it doesn't have it's own kernel, let alone modules. and even if it had, they...

Yup, and put #!/bin/sh on the first line of the file. Then "chmod 700" it. Make a second file with umount and rmmod commands. You only need one umount since it doesn't need the IP.

You need to install the "last DT test kernel zImage" to use that cifs module.
