Re: Mer should succeed in one device first, any one device

Right, Look at MeeGo (http://www.meego.com) instead - they seem to want open source drivers too. But for most visions and ideas, MeeGo is the way to go.

I'll still be providing a Fremantle base...

Re: Nokia promises N900 will get MeeGo! Or perhaps not.

Maybe it isn't clear, but the reason people is asking for Maemo 6 on their N900 is because the OS itself is perceived to be lacking in many areas, and they would rather have an official, Nokia launch...

Re: Renaming "Maemo 6" to MeeGo / Harmattan

They are afraid if they say "no" to a MeeGo upgrade on the N900 it will hurt sales.

Re: Nokia promises N900 will get MeeGo! Or perhaps not.

Nokia just gave their most avid fans an atomic wedgie AND shoved their heads down the toilet - and it's pretty amusing to see that some of them don't even take the time to dry their hair before they...

Re: Nokia promises N900 will get MeeGo

No. Nokia does not promise that. It is easy to tell by the fact that there is no quote from a Nokia person that includes the words "Meego will work on N900". What you really have is some writer's...

After today's announcement regarding Meego the thread title should be changed to "Who's still around and interested in N800/N810/N900?" (joke :P)

Re: Catorise: auto-sort applications menu

Maemo4 menus are already grouped and editable. So there's no need for catorise there.

Re: CNET: The $199 tablet according to Freescale

I think you misunderstood what I was saying.

I'm not saying that there's no demand for any such devices. I'm saying that there isn't enough demand/room for "yet another such device". Nokia left...

Re: Ouch... Android is making my n900 look bad.
