Re: internet doesnt work in 3G mode, only in 3.5G. help?

Re: maemo-optify-boottime.log growing every boot

If you echo $space then it works OK, because...

Re: maemo-optify-boottime.log growing every boot

Well, I don't (still) know what exactly those packages "optify", i.e. how they decide which file/folder to move away and symlink. It might be useful, but most probably not :)

Nope. I said I...

Re: maemo-optify-boottime.log growing every boot

Well, I guess the "runonce" made me decide to uninstall it. If it was (pre-)installed and did its thing already ("once"), then why should it continue to be installed polluting my dpkg database :)

Re: maemo-optify-boottime.log growing every boot

@ikerrg,

(I just answered this on the other thread "Random reboot..")

Very interesting analysis. I don't have /usr/sbin/maemo-optify-auto.sh (but I may have removed many Nokia packages). Could...

Re: Using the n900 in 2012

The speed patch is a tiny bit of code that messes with the Linux task scheduler. There are many, many opinions about how scheduling should be managed, and no clear winners amongst them; the...

Re: dpkg question

Have you tried to use the dpkg --purge option instead of dpkg --remove ?
Be careful of deleting other packages in addition!

Re: Announce: Recovery Console Mode in Extras-Devel

(Note, for context: hwclock -s)
Don't know. I guess real hackers don't give a sh*t about timestamps :)

I've never actually tried that myself, but you can always have a look at backupmenu...

Re: [Announce] BackupMenu - OS backup & restore | New version - Jul 9th(v1.1)

@ikerrg,
