Re: Anyone in Australia have a Jolla?

Sounds stressful. I'm glad to hear you got it and it arrived on Christmas Eve no less! It's nice to hear at least one person put in a little extra effort :D.

Anyone know of a way to order the...

Re: [Announce] Google Voice client qgvdial is ready for testing

Thanks again. It was kind of embarrassing to admit I didn't know which package to install. I figured it was better to ask than mess with the wrong one.

Off to fiddle with the debian package.

Re: So, what should a qwerty other half look like?

I am a girl or woman.

I am female, but I'm over 40. You can decide which one I am.

I prefer a hardware keyboard. It makes it faster and easier to type. I can use two thumbs instead of one...

Re: Project N955 - Turn your N9 into a 'N950'!

I just ordered a n9 new in the box from a local supplier. I know it's old tech these days but I don't have the budget for the latest and greatest.

I've seen the phone out in the wild, played with...

Re: tinyfugue mud client

Is there a way to push patches up to the garage source code, or possibly fork it and create a second binary? There are two useful patches to add additional scripting languages into tinyfugue.

One...

Re: tinyfugue mud client

For help on editing the status bar while in tinyfugue, type '/help status bar'.

For a quicker fix, the command to edit the logging configuration on the status bar is:

/set status_int_log

There's a great Tinyfugue community at the tinyfugue-discuss@lists.sourceforge.net mailing list. Additionally, I've been archiving Tinyfugue macros in my personal wiki...

Re: [Announce] DropN900 - the maemo 5 DropBox client

I'm sorry to hear this as I was really hoping for an auto-sync feature, and I know others have other features they were hoping for as well.

Still as you say, you put quite a bit of time into this...

Re: find sex application

Hey! I'm female, and I'm pretty sure I've run across more than 2 other females on this forum.

I will say in all seriousness I wouldn't answer a sex request from a phone app.

Interesting...

Re: Folks looking for an alternative Linux platform after the WP7 announcement

IIRC, the think the Galaxy had two things in its favor (other than shiny hardware specs):

1) Easily root-able.

2) An "official" stock android ROM for all the smart modders to turn into...

Re: Folks looking for an alternative Linux platform after the WP7 announcement

I'll keep an eye on this as well.

Yet another ranty post. I bought a n900 after Motorola locked down my Milestone's firmware. Now, Nokia will (effectively) abandon Linux for Windows.

Re: Nokia CEO Elop lays groundwork for new strategy to be announced next month, a move away from meego?

Well, I'm one. I don't buy a stock I want to sell in less than 5 years. The trading fees eat up too much of the profits if you churn through stocks in the short term. I don't have Nokia shares, but I...

Re: mbarcode

*LOL*. I need something working within a few days as we want the inventory done in less than a week. Scanning 1000+ DVDs (plus the rest) is going to be a huge time suck.

Re: [Council] State of Maemo, Q32010.2

This isn't meant in a snide way, merely curious...what are the "myriad" OSes that run on the n900?

I count...maemo, meego, and nitdroid (sort of). Anything else?

I qualify nitdroid as "sort...
