If you have a SIM-lock code in maemo activated you can't use the SIM in nitdroid, you first have to disable the lock code in maemo.

Maybe it is this:
Edit /etc/event.d/rcS-late again sudo gainrootand find this linean change /dev/mmcblk0 to /dev/mmcblk1, zero to one
This part is hardcoding the device to be looked for swap.
