Just one, have had it for nearly two years now, and I still consider it an awesome device. To have that much computing power nestling in the top pocket of my Jean jacket, gives me a nice geekie glow....

I had a similar experience and solved it when it was pointed out to me that, my problem logging into FICS was probably caused by the lazy option of the Maemo OS to automatically begin a sentence...

I used to have a Samsung and what a very nice phone it was.

Now I have a n900 and do you know what it is a very nice phone too.

Like I can text folk on it, talk to folk on it same old same old...

Memorex Travellink

Someone on one of the forums mentioned that the 'Memorex Travellink' could be used to transfer files from the n900 to a USB memory stick so I bought one.

Needless to say it did not work first...

Wine is Linux's secret weapon.

My solution to the dodgy USB slot is very simple, two batteries and an external charger both picked up very cheaply on ebay.

When it makes that funny little bleeping noise like it is getting low...

Speaking for myself I find the n900 fiddly and very confusing, but I am 60 after all, but the feeling of having the internet in my pocket and it being open source, warms the cockles of my heart.
