Re: N900 vs. Motorola Droid (Verizon Android device)

Garmin and TomTom's gravy days are over. The Nuviphone won't save Garmin like they're hoping. It's a so-so design with yet another proprietary Linux-based OS. Too bad, 'cause Garmin is based here...

Re: summit n900 recipients, report in

Don't worry, we'll soon open "Summit N900 recipients, report why you think it sucks" ;)

(And btw, I suggest we stop polluting this thread until we have an N900 and something good to say about it...

Wow, what a response. I suppose you never expect the Spanish Inquisition. Anyway, what exactly is "my question"? I did not start this thread. I was simply agreeing with the person who wondered why...

Re: N900 vs. Motorola Droid (Verizon Android device)

Biiigg' stretch but correct (kind of). A more relative point (IMHO) is:

Maemo = Linux (very resource efficient)

Android = Linux with all (non framework) apps running in a java layer (not...

Re: N900 vs. Motorola Droid (Verizon Android device)

Before we start the mess I think derails most good threads here, let's cool our tones and show each other more respect. We're all members of the same community, and don't want people coming here...

Seriously: don't send users out of Extras without a big warning

Now that we have hundreds of N900 testers it's a good time to settle on something that we have discussed many time in the past: the big majority of users should rely on the maemo.org Extras...

Re: N900 UK Networks

Tmobile - its cheaper and offers 1gb ('unlimited' cap) with the option of paying more for 3gb and 10gb levels. The 3g coverage is pretty good too.

In my eyes 500mb (Vodafone) is far far too low...

Re: Nintendo Ds and Psp Emulator -- N900

The Windows Mobile version of Tomb Raider was a commercial game written specifically for that platform, so won't work directly on the N900. If there will be a Playstation emulator for the N900, you...

A small suggestion from a bear of very little brain

I hadn't heard of maemo until the weekend. So I'm a total n00b here, and frankly have no right to suggest anything. But... I suspect I'm representative of a whole pile of people who're going to fetch...
