3G off fixed my battery life!
I finally found a single setting in the n900 that seriously increased my battery life.
Since i got my n900, i had to live with the phone being completly drained after a maximum of 12 hours. 2 days...

You can do it with an init script (http://wiki.debian.org/LSBInitScripts), or an /etc/network/if-up.d script (should be safer). Bonus points for making it specific to this broken WLAN connection...
