I just installed pioneers in Easy Debian which worked fine. In wide screen mode even the client's interface looks quite ok. At least it fits fine on the screen and the game board has a quite decent...

Pioneers is in the Debian repositories, so chances are it will work fine in Easy Debian. But since I've never tried it I don't know if the GUI will work or even fit on the small screen.

Importantly, a local map need to be in the device. It takes longer to get a position lock without network connection.

My Integrated GPS (no internet connection) gets a lock after 3-4 mins, never took me longer than that.

On the n900, yes you write the IP of your PC.
In the sdp file, it should be 'inet addr:' after wlan0.
(which in your case is '10.0.0.5', but I've never seen an address like that before)
