After playing with my Jolla I think its related to playing of some sounds. On Jolla when removing an item from running apps screen you get a 'blip' sound, on n950 you get static

I have but it has same issue at 1.0.3.7 so no point in releasing until the orientation is fixed

I have not done any work in the kickstart to enable the store repos yet.

There have been instructions posted earlier to this thread to get some further store functionality which may work with...

If you disable touchscreen tones in settings crackling goes away , so seems related to one of these tones

latest kickstart puts nemo user in privileged group , may help

few posts back details steps needed to up r2 to r3 without reflash

The developer mode package has been added to the kickstart at https://github.com/martinbrook/jolla-n950-kickstart

But even with this the password is not taken in developer mode gui so you have the...
