The Pidgin Plugin uses Telepathy, which is native for the N900. If you don't want to use the Pidgin protocols plugin for Conversations and Contacts...

WLAN_INFRA means that you're using a classic Wifi AP (not Adhoc). That's the value returns by a maemo env variable.

Yes the label in the changelog is not very clear. In the application you can see "When locked" and "When locked AND not charging". So as you've guessed, I am just using the lock status.

This functionality is still in beta and may not work every time. Thanks for the feedback I will investigate it.

x-lette you're right, it should always switch to 2G, no matter what the type of was.
