An easier way to hide the title is to change the "Command Title Settings" in the QBW settings.

You can change the position to 'Hidden'

Try changing the timeout in the code to 10 seconds (-T value). It could be that the 3G connection isn't fast enough to collect the data if it's set to 5 seconds

You have to be root to do any apt-get commands. Have you Rootsh installed? If so type "Sudo Gainroot" in x-terminal and then your apt-get install commands.
