having had an N800 for 3 years, i knew what i was getting into, and looked forward to the N900. people that say "do your homework" or "read up reviews" don't seem to...

you can if the device is 3 months old AND nokia's been advertising it all over the place. it's not about obsoleting a device naturally, this is like going freakin' dr. krivorkian on it as an infant....

i can't speak for python, but C++ will probably jump start your programming career, since an object-oriented programming language will facilitate learning java, vb.net, c#, etc.

same problem i got, except deleting the account from phone and re-adding didn't solve my problems, so i went to checking gmail via IMAP

i'm using default media player--i see mplayer has made its way to n900, i haven't d/l'ed it yet though. default media player, i have some curb your enthusiasm episodes that look alright, definitely...
