It's not the thickness that bothers me, it's the fact that they didn't include a lens cover. :(

Knowing the people in this community, someone will probably manufacture their own far better cover for the MUGEN battery than the one that comes with it.

Unfortunately, I think that the last person who did that sort of thing lost a lot of money and still has a bunch of expansion units for sale and probably will forever.

Mugen emailed me recently saying their battery was being delayed:
