I think that answers the question in regards to interest. |

Re: Who is still interested in Neo900?
As someone who sold their Jolla two years ago in favour of a 6310i (whilst picking up a GS4 Mini for non-phone duties), I can only envision a completion of this project if they abandon N900 hardware. Just about all the N900 parts they would care to retain will be worn out and exhausted by the users that matter, by the time they start shipping units. Even if the selling price ended up rising above $2000, I reckon that incorporating an entirely new chassis & case parts would be better value in the long run than attempting to reuse N900 parts that could fail without warning.

Re: Who is still interested in Neo900?
very good point.
I think as long as Maemo's evolving platform successors, currently Leste, manages to function optimally on alternate devices, eventually someone will manufacture a n900-esque device that hits all the proverbial buttons for those that desire it, So I am not especially worried about the faux death of the n900, it may very well have little impact on us in the end. (cross fingers .... hopefully...) |

Didn't see this thread by now. Still being interested, but lost any hope...

Re: Who is still interested in Neo900?
Moderator ...can you close this epically useless thread?
As far as the previous poster goes... This redundantly pointless thread... give it up... half a decade of waiting... funds thrown at it ... proved a terrifically pointless waste. Pining for something that will never be is also a pointless exercise. Also necromantic raising of dead nowhere projects and their dead threads benefit nothing and no one. Peter is right on the money... referring to the Leste thread ... There is the future of maemo....and it Leste HAS a future. |
