Maybe try again, it's all pretty clear, it's not a perfect sol'n by any means, it's a somewhat messy compromise that happened in order to placate all parties, for now.

What parties would that be?

@stezz, thanks! I have to say I am really happy it's not another forum :-)

Cross-posting is inevitable, but askbot is a very good way to gather information, and easy for people searching for a quick solution to use. It is IMO truly something that does not invoke dissonance, and makes it quite clear about what types of things are suited for one or the other.

Happy new year!

Hum, it reminds me of maemo.org brainstorm and that is bad (TM) IMHO...

Well, in any case, it is already overlapping heavily with TMO, as some are directly cross-posting. We'll see what happens.

I actually like that they went with askbot and not phpbb. With askbot you can vote on bugs and features which makes it harder for Jolla to ignore stuff that has many votes. And we have TMO for developing, rants and all the epic threads that may just scare away "normal users". :)

Edit: And of course, a happy new year all!!!

http://maemo.org/community/brainstorm/

There you have, plenty of stuff with plenty of votes that has gone ignored for years. Also see Ubuntu one.

Actually, the more I look at it, the more I think brainstorm and "together" are exactly identical in function. Obviously, whether "together" turns out to be this year's equivalent of /dev/null is up to the implementers...

Why it's really important for Sailfish to become open (and not just open-friendly):
