Re: PySide on N8x0

Argh.
dreaded scratch.
well...
frankly I just don't have the brain stamina to deal with that and work at the moment (I am actually at work - work now ... :D )

For the most part I try to avoid scratch as much as possible anyway...
do anything BUT use scratch...(pita that it is...)

Re: PySide on N8x0

it may be a bit outdated (since I haven't had much time to finish the latest version yet..)
But my maemo distro in my sig
would / should work...
you could easily set everything up for scratch ...or any other method for that matter...with what it contains.
It would make the process of what you intend on doing...much easier.

Does it have a debian directory in the source? If not, try copying one from the old source in repos. Then run the following command while inside the source directory. And it should produce a .deb file you can transfer to the device.

Code:

fakeroot dpkg-buildpackage
And did you compile the source using sb-conf select DIABLO_ARMEL?

+1 to that.
yeah forgot all about that option...
fakerooting should do it just fine...and much less painfully too.

In the Diablo repository, the correct version of the package is missing. It is in the freemantle repository. I downloaded the sources with .diff and tried to compile. There is a dependence on the python-all-dev, but for the Diablo this package is called python2.5-dev... If I ignore dependencies gss compile all libraries boost... I only need boost-python

You said you already compiled it and needed to package it up. To do that, you need a debian directory inside the source. You can find one and modify, or write your own.
