Would be nice if Kubuntu could be made into EasyKubuntu...
Its possible, right?

Interesting indeed, I'll try it out but it probably needs thumb support in the CPU (which the N900 has disabled due to making it unstable)

Thank you! :D

Can anyone tell me in a nutshell whats the difference between kubuntu and ubuntu? I thought the 'K' is for KDE but doesn't ubuntu uses KDE as well?

The kde version of ubuntu is called kubuntu. The default ubuntu comes with the gnome desktop.

Re: Kubuntu Mobile Tech Preview

you are correct..we have been working on it for some time
https://blueprints.edge.launchpad.ne...c/arm-m-liquid
but this is due to the fact that when we started the project plasma mobile was still stabilizing and was not ready for even a tech preview !
Maybe you still think that is true ;) but there is now more focus on plasma from upstream KDE and from the wider Ubuntu/Kubuntu communities so we felt that a tech preview would be ok.
We will get some documentation done on how to install to a device (N900) before 10.10 is finally release so you can play around with it. Plasma Mobile rocks!!

The thumb instruction set doesn't work on N900? That is very odd. It seems unlikely, to me, that the CPU doesn't support thumb properly. More likely it is the fault of the GCC version used.
