when the gamepad is plugged in, the onscreen-keyboard is deactivated.

So I can't test evrouter ... Any ideas?

-devel is for testing code before it is pushed to extras proper. and especially when working with apt-get directly that may lead to unforeseen updates of packages that may not be ready for every day use just yet.

evrouter included most of the debian magic, it needed only some minor adjustments to required debian tool versions and missing dependencies, so I uploaded it for diablo.
