Re: [ANNOUNCE] BounceBounce, A Doodle-jump clone.
OK This is a very addictive game. There are games that I download just to have them available and then there is bouncebounce which is there because I'll keep playing it till I drain my battery or beat my hiscore.
Excellent job. Sometimes simple games are the best. |
Re: [ANNOUNCE] BounceBounce, A Doodle-jump clone.
Jamie, I am liking this a lot. Addictive as hell.
A couple of things I would like to suggest are: When you crash out, it would be nice to see the score of the game you just played as well as the high score. Is that possible? Are you planning on adding any of the fancy doodle jump stuff like propellers or jet packs? Cheers mate. |
Re: [ANNOUNCE] BounceBounce, A Doodle-jump clone.
opens then closes. sad. :( looks awesome though.

Re: [ANNOUNCE] BounceBounce, A Doodle-jump clone.
I found the problem. the game is missing 2 dependancies.
I had to connect to internet on phone, go to terminal, then type apt-get install libvorbisfile3 then after that finishes type apt-get install libmikmod2 after that it says : /home/user not ours. traceback (most recent call last): file "bouncebounce.py" line 91, in <module> osso_c = Context("Flobby","0.0.1", False) file "context.pyx", line 8, in osso.content.Context.__cinit__(osso/context.c:531) osso.exceptions.OssoException: Cannot initiallize context. |
Re: [ANNOUNCE] BounceBounce, A Doodle-jump clone.
shazosbourne: I do intend to add a high-score function (with community) I'm just waiting to find the spare time.
roger_27: Nicely diagnosed. I'd be interested to know which firmware you are running, its weird that it works for some but not others. the osso errors could be due to python-osso not existing, maybe you could try "apt-get install python-osso" |
Re: [ANNOUNCE] BounceBounce, A Doodle-jump clone.
"python-osso is already the newest version"
"python-osso set to manually installed" I tried to run bounebounce again anyways, and got the same error as my previous post. dang! I'm using PR 1.3 it's a pretty much stock phone. the only system file I have replaced is the one for the FM transmitter so I can have all frequencies. no power kernel, no nitdroid installed, no CSSU I would imagine those 2 packages I installed might have been part of some bigger package I should have installed, and it might take that problem away too. |
Re: [ANNOUNCE] BounceBounce, A Doodle-jump clone.
many thanks! from me for a coooooooooool game.
