One important argument with android has been how poorly it handles multitasking. Android, in it's attempt to manage battery and memory usage is known to kill jobs with little warning. I just happen to notice that on android version O there is an option to keep jobs running in background, at least on my phone (Mate 10). Not sure how robust it is. Will test later.
