Re: A leather case for the N810 should be interesting...
I have this case - love it. It is made to have the plastic sleeve just slide over the keyboard, not the whole unit as done in the YouTube video. The plastic sleeve over the keyboard does not affect the unit when you slide in the keyboard.

I'll bet a tough but flexible leather cover with short, fake fur lining would be ideal. I like Moon's idea about a case that accomodates the keyboard, too. With my wife's sewing skills I should be inventing these things... |
Re: A leather case for the N810 should be interesting...
I've just bought the Proporta case for N810. Just superb. Looks and feels good and the plastic cover over the keyboard means you can use the IT without removing it from the case. It has a little plastic tab to stop the IT slipping out of the case but I've removed it since the snug fit keeps the tablet in place anyway.
Expensive but with the alu protection and quality feel, worth it, I'd say. No, I don't work for them! |
Re: A leather case for the N810 should be interesting...
I've got the Nokia leather case and while quite nice I can't seem to stop it from sending touchscreen events when I open and close it. I thought a screen recalibrate (to fix the app category change issue) would solve it but it will still give false taps.

For my ref here is link to the seller that (hopefully) will persist:
http://stores.ebay.com/Jabashop the description for the case is "Leather Case for Nokia N810 Internet Tablet Book/Black". Same |
Re: A leather case for the N810 should be interesting...
I've bought one of the book model leather cases with the plastic over the keyboard.
While I find it really nice (although a bit bulky) and protects the device quite well, I have found that the slide switch doesn't work when the n810 is in the case and it is always in "open" position, no matter if the keyboard is closed or open. Also, I think the plastic has moved or loosened the switch, because now I have to press the lower right corner of the screen when I close the keyboard to move the switch to "close" position. Do any of you have such problems? |
