This time, I'd only like to nominate juiceme and peterleinchen.
juiceme is the cement between board + council and that's exactly what's needed IMHO. Can't hurt to have a director in council, it appears.
peterleinchen simply excelled in presence during meetings and engagement in current topics.
Thank you both, I hope you'll continue your good work.

And I wouldn't mind a council of 3, unless all 5 can commit to a meeting date that everybody actually is able to join. This will likely be dominated by EU interests (been around ~20:00 UTC for years now), so please check your availability when considering candidacy.

Thanks for the joke. I was actually on the last committee; can say that it was an eye-opening experience.

But I'm too busy at the moment, thank you. I'm quite sure Danramos says no too... he's busy in the Android world, no longer in the Maemo world.

Well ...I did try to tone it down...
My team of writers and spin doctors said I should aim at relating to the "disenfranchised" ...I mean really ...isn't that all of us? ...not sure what I'm paying them for.
And I ain't accepted yet.

I hope you mean "all except pichlo". I foolishy agreed to accept a nomination the last time but had to later withdraw it, causing some confusion in the process. I would hate to repeat the experience this time.

I endorse the nomination of all current council members who are running again ...being proved more than competent for the positions...

and as well vociferously nominate those individuals who have also been currently nominated who it is widely known their abilities exceed expectations .. [blanket nominating at it's finest :D]

Dave999 [whom everyone knows and loves as I believe he fits the bill admirably and would make a fabulous clear-headed unbiased and impartially-minded council member]

To be more precise, we need candidates (self-nominated or nominees who accepted), not just nominees...

I always found it a bit unfortunate that Contemplation period was not meant for nominees to consider candidacy but for valid candidates to withdraw only.

At least that's how it used to be...

My take has been that Contemplation period is for the community and not for the candidates; that it is one week reserved so that members may contemplate the worthiness of the candidates, ask them questions and so on.

To make up their minds whom to vote for.
