Theme Customiser is a control Panel util to customize your theme.
With this handy little tool you can:
- change system font family
- change system font size
- change font colors
- save and load color presets
- change application shortcut sizes at homescreen
- show or hide the backgrounds for application shortcuts at homescreen
- change web bookmark sizes at homescreen
- adjust snap to grid value at homescreen
- change icon themes
- change backgrounds for applications
- change homescreen widget opacities
- change homescreen top menu opacity
- import .ttf and .otf fonts
- save and delete themes
- restore theme files from backup
- Note: backups of any files to be modified will be created automaticly
- Thanks to CepiPerez for custom hildon-home binary.

During install a backup of your hildon-home.launch -file is created and it's restored when you uninstall the package.

All other files that are modified by the customizer are also backed up for restoring. Backups are created under /opt/theme-customizer/backups/

Known issues:
- when user chooses NOT to reboot automaticly, sometimes hildon-home won't start up or there's a ~20 seconds delay before all shortcuts re-appears on desktop. This is not serious, reboot fixes it.

Nice, probably saves some time changing this stuff manually in the config files.

Do I need to have the fonts installed on the system, or are the truetype files enough?

Erm... to use .ttf or .otf fonts, just place them under folder /home/user/.fonts
No other "installation" is required and fonts are usable via any application.

Heh, well it's not finished yet. Next version will include the "fontimport" -tool which install .ttf and .otf fonts from any subfolder @ MyDocs with single button click.

I bet we will find more things too.. This is a pretty powerful program. It pretty much allows you to change how your n900 will look.

Have you set the App shortcut max size to 96? Maybe someone what it to be larger.. So maybe change it to 256 or something? Same goes for the bookmarks..

Since the images included with theme are 96x96 pixels (shortcuts) it would produce bad quality if they are scaled upwards. Same goes to bookmarks.

I will make some tests on where the limit goes when icons starts to look ugly and maybe then make it possible to make shortcuts and bookmarks larger than default value is.

@D-Iivil - please note that there are some problems with down loading - "The requested URL /extras-d...er_0.5_all.deb was not found on this server". Also not found in extra-devel.

Great. Any chance of this one day including a contacts shortcut resizer? I have been asking for this for ages but seems no one has been able to work out how to do this or no one in the know is interested in doing it.

Yeah, that is true. But when i did this in my script before it didn't looked not that bad. It was just the background.. but i guess you could always put the numbers in manually to make that change ;)

Probably you're not the only one. I forgot to include sudoers -file with the package which makes it possible to edit files owned by root... :-D

hay brilliant programe, how ever it crashed on me, after i clicked save and reset, it just sits at the setting up theme please wait screen!! however, if i turn phone off and on again settings have been save as i asked!

Can i ask something what does icon theme do?
Do i select a theme and then use the icons on other themes?
Coz it doesnt work when i choose d-theme and then choose pleego icons...

Icon theme switch does (or should do) exactly what you though; you can have d-theme (or any other theme) active but use battery, folder etc. icons from another theme. If you have plastic addon pack 2 installed and you choose to use plastic-pleego-icons you should see that iconset icons after you reboot the phone. If you still see default hicolor icons after reboot, please report what theme are you exactly using and also output of this:
ls -l /usr/share/icons/black-plastic-pleego-icons/

fapman = Faster Application Manager (great app for installing apps from maemo or other repos)

HAM = Hildon Application Manager (the default application manager bundled with N900).
