5 Attachment(s)
Hi,

Here is my new device with beta OS.

It's Nokia N950 Prototype Build S3.7 HW 1024.

Take a look on camera it's not the same as regular N950 :p

I have remove password at startup with 'pkill devicelockd' command.

Now I have a problem, I can't access to complete OS with all applications, why?
How to access?

nb. when i connect the device to my pc nothing mount :(

Thank you

Re: Nokia N950 Prototype Build S3.7

If my assumption is right then you have the 28th device!
I think the third line on "S4.0" sticker (S3.7 in your phone) is a serial number of the device https://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=96972

Please check if there are any dates on antennas' covers, if possible.

Re: Nokia N950 Prototype Build S3.7

Hi,

Apparently killing wont work and bring back to Contact and Call.
I would like to see Full OS not only some applications.

I have installed ExtraPutty.

I manage to transfer files opensh_1.00_armel.deb and inception_0.2.5_armel.deb via command busybox rx with Xmodem after that :)

Code:

BusyBox v1.18.0.git (Maemo 3:1.18-3+0m6) built-in shell (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.

RM680-47-6:~# busybox rx opensh.deb
CCRM680-47-6:~#
RM680-47-6:~# ls
opensh.deb          validator,init.log

RM680-47-6:~# AEGIS_FIXED_ORIGIN=com.nokia.maemo dpkg -i opensh.deb
Aegis rejecting opensh.deb: Debian archive has corrupted or bad file header

-rw-r--r--    1 user    root          7944 Jul  1 15:03 opensh.deb

Even with inception deb file it do the same :(
How to resolve that?

Retry to copy it and it's ok for the size now :)

EDIT:

Code:

RM680-47-6:/home/user/MyDocs# AEGIS_FIXED_ORIGIN=com.nokia.maemo dpkg -i opensh.

Any help please?

I tried to restart my device and here is my error:
(Sometimes ago i had this same error and when i restart it passed but now no :() device shutdown after video...

Are you sure? I though SHA hashes consist of hexadecimal characters...

Try cutting it at the dashes:
Code:

RLcO7J4z0W4MHDebtaiRMu6IJ+M=
decodes to:
Code:

He can brute-force it. Try guessing until the hashes match. With a reasonably short password and a fast machine, he may crack it in under a year. (Only to find that he was cracking the wrong thing :D)

$ hashcat -m 1800 -a 3 hashfile.txt rockyou.txt

You mean "common" SHA512 which is [a-f0-9]{128} string but this is a Unix SHA512 implementation produced by crypt() function. Unix / crypt() type hashes look like "$x$yyyyyyy$zzzzzz...zzzzz" where "x" is a hash type, "yyyyyyyy" is a salt, and "zzz......zzz" is a hash string itself. You may already seen something like "$1$dh8cho7m$XMuMathohL8eek8yaLG9P0T/" which is a Unix MD5 hash while "common" MD5 hash is a [a-f0-9]{32} string. More info: http://man7.org/linux/man-pages/man3/crypt.3.html

After every restart i have security code screen :(

I need to run all my command to remove the screen and access to the OS.

Here is the first time you see that :)

The main problem is:

I run opensh command for dbus and pkill command and after that the system crash and reboot. I was in complete UI and now when i try to redo that it's impossible.
Hopefully I saved the terminal LOG in Putty.

Don't want to put a damper on your progress, but could the 5 stars just be a placeholder and not an actual indication of the length of the code?

Could it be key representation of Nokia in T9 (66542 iirc)

No, this is some copy (why?) of /etc/shadow.

The more I see those unreleased the more sad I feel about Nokia's un-wise moves and poor decisions.

Is this Maemo/MeeGo Proto Software stable or unstable?
The other apps work?

Re: Nokia N950 Prototype Build S3.7 (Maemo 6 beta inside)

Sigh...
I just set my wife up with a Oneplus phone, wiped it for LineageOS(Cyanogen) no Google, f-Droid app repo, and app-dl the rest of what she needed.
I still rock a N900 and it is starting to feel old(browser, NFC, >/=BT4.0), but while the Oneplus is nice in my reflashed config it is down a different less hacker friendly path from Maemo5 and forward in what I imagine is a cooler timeline. Until the asteroid hits and wipes everyone out.

Re: Nokia N950 Prototype Build S3.7 (Maemo 6 beta inside)

Hi,

I would like to run automatically at startup just after security code page asking password a script. is it possible? I already have the script (commands i run one by one) to remove the devicelock page and access HOME with apps.
Now i can only remove devicelock and access HOME with jig adaptor because i have busybox terminal with the PC but i don't want to use the jig.

Any help?

Re: Nokia N950 Prototype Build S3.7 (Maemo 6 beta inside)

I'm not sure if this will work in Harmattan, but in Fremantle, you could put a script in /etc/event.d and it would run at boot:
http://wiki.maemo.org/Startup_script

Did you install Inception? If so, is it posiible to stop it from starting at boot up? The following thread explores the boot process in Fremantle, so there may well be similarities with Haramattan:
http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=87959

Also, it would be helpful to others who may have the same issues as you in the future if you could document what has worked so far for you.

@n950 I wonder if you plan to dump and upload firmware so it can be further examined?

I don't want to install inception cause it's too dangerous for this beta OS. it can brick the device.
I have install opensh only.
anybody can help me to fill a script file to run it automatically at startup please
