Re: Problem with Flasher on PC (64 bit)

Shift + Right Mouse Click (on empty space inside folder with flasher.exe and firmwares)
Then select "Open Command line window here"
And now you can do all the stuff

Excuse me?

Suggesting a non-64-bit OS other than Windows 10 is trying to solve the problem. Or at least the first step. If you cared to read the response, you would have found that it was indeed the solution.

Also please note that in no way did I contradict your post on how to bring up the command line.

I'll try the operation with command line this evening because now I'm at University.
I know that with another OS it will work because I've already Flash my N9 on Windows XP,but now I don't have that computer so I hope that the command line will work :)

I'm not helping when I say this.....

Just as the N900 is debated as being either a 'phone' or 'hand-held computer'; IMHO Win10 can't be considered an OS, since it's 'freemium (for lack of a better word) / adware / spyware'.

Edit: If you can't escape windows, this is probably a must: https://voat.co/v/Ancile/1677949

Re: Problem with Flasher on PC (64 bit)

What you could try is to use my created live image.

- run flasher -i
- connect the switched off N9 via usb

and tell us if you get an output.
When you get no output terminate with ctrl+c.
Look with the command dmesg if some usb device was recognized.

When no device was recognized maybe your cable is broken, your N9 is broken or the usb port is not running with free linux drivers.

You could try to use another pc maybe an older one.

When you phone was recognized you can try to flash it.
However I am not responsible for anything if something unexpected happens..
