Help! Update File corrupted
 

Hi guys,

It was with great anticipation that I started the update on my N810 yesterday, did the backup, charged the battery etc. It all went well and downloaded most of the file. Then it bombed out. Now, every time I try and run it all goes well until it starts downloading, and then I get "Unable to update OS2008 Feature upgrade. Update file corrupted".

This is hair-pulling-out-frustrating. Can anyone give me a hint? Please! I'm going away on holiday tomorrow and wont be able to download again till 2009 :(

I seem to recall having the same problem with the previous firmware update, but didnt want to go the whole route of reflashing the thing. Then suddenly a few weeks later the update worked. I also have - in the year of having the N810 - been unable to download the map for South Africa and have never used the GPs. Is it a bandwidth issue?
