When i try to download anything from the ovi store thats what i get "application package not found" any ideas?? thanks

Works for me. I just installed Solitaire on my N900.

Could you try downloading Solitaire as well (it is in the Games section, surprise, surprise :-)

adam123, could you provide a little more details on this. I'll then check with my colleagues, if they know any more details on this kind of issue.

Could you check your exact firmware version (Settings->About product), include all digits, please.
Are you browsing with cellular data connection or through WiFi?
Are you masking the User-Agent header of the browser (e.g. have you installed Hide User Agent application)?
Did you get that phone through some operator? If yes, which one?

Note, that I do not know if any of these tidbits help to solve the issue, I just want to get some facts and to find out what could be different between your and my device.

was able to download apps fine until after latest firmware update
