battery life extended when charging from a laptop

Hey Guys,

I would like to ask if anyone had face this:

when I charge my N9-00 using wall charge it last about one day regular
use... when it is charged using a laptop usb it last 2 days or more the same use..
it's very weird... my girl told me that she had the same problem with her cellphone (another model) and this problem was fixed replacing the wall charger... any clues? my wall charger is euro model...

cheers everyone...

I've charged from both an outlet and computer and see no differences personally. Maybe your N9 is different and loves the power from your computer. :D Just kidding. On a more serious note, the problem is either with the outlet or charger.

It last 2 days or more ? You are the most lucky guy with N9. Supposing you use it as smartphone ;)

The only difference I've noticed is that it charges faster from laptop USB, slower from wall charger.

Maybe just placebo.. depends on your usage.

The laptop charges at a much slower rate than the wall charger.

Everyone knows charging a battery slowly is much better for it than charging it fast, also you will notice that charging the battery from the wall only charges up to around 92-96%.

Anyway buy a lower mA charger from ebay - around the 400mA mark. Which is more than enough time to charge overnight.

Also recently on my N9 at around 8pm it shutdown because it said 0% battery, I powered it back on and said it was 12%, it then lasted until 11pm/12am, this could also be the case with your phone and charging it slower prevents this issue.

That's your wall-charger having an issue :p...The wall charger passes more current than a USB port from the laptop so the wall charger will always charge faster unless you have a mix-up of charger and wall-unit...Or if either of them are not working well...

Well.... I use as an smartphone... .email... Wazapp And everything... Of course i don't play... I just never realize the my girl could got a slow wall charger... But one thing that is very is the way the phone measure the juice use.. For example if it was charged from wall it's show bigger idle consume....

but Tks Guys..the slow charger idea was very nice...

Thats because USB 3.0 is max 1amp, usb 2 is max 500ma.
