For what reason should it not?
I had my home Fritz connected at home and outside via VPN and it was okay.

Thank you, that sound good. Some hints regarding the configuration and setup would be helpful if anyone is reading this and trying to accomplish the same.

Also, I do not have a Fritzbox, planed to use SIP via internet connection directly from the phone.

Also that is working and easy straight-forward to configure. Of course special provider might need soecial configuratuon ;)
