Nokia N900 to Nokia L900

Sooo after having Nokia N900 for 2 years, I've decided to move on...switched to Windows OS (Nokia Lumia 900). This thing is a beauty and the OS is smooth and runs perfectly. Loving every bit of it.

Just wanted to thank all the members and developers for their help and contribution to Maemo OS. Great job with the numerous apps and helping Maemo to run efficiently for so long . :)

Do you have any apps or utilities that you're already missing?

Nice downgrade. The letter "L" is behind "N" in the alphabet. ;)

Congrats.

Though you should keep in mind that moving on forward, not backward, means keeping your N900 at hand.

Please don't hesitate to comment on the L900 OS and the display. I am curious to hear how is the display doing as Nokia internet tablet.

MicroB vs the Microsoft -- how many full website browser windows can you open at the same time on the L900?

Thanks!!

You must be from the US; would make sense.

Last I checked, the Lumia 900 isn't on sale anywhere else yet.

And besides, what exactly do you mean by that statement?

Um, I'd venture to guess he means only an American could be stupid enough to think Windows Mobile is "smooth and runs perfectly".

Funny how a Finnish company bought that exact line and bet their entire company on that same premise.

What's worse. 1% of Americans thinking that WP7 is smooth and runs perfectly or a bunch of Finns that thought they could turn things around with WP7.

Yeah...

'smooth', 'loving' etc. are all words very often used by "yours". Europeans talk differently. Also, almost nobody around here could care enough about WP "being smooth".

(I'm already NOT looking forward having to witness the mall wireless salesdroids talking (in)to their potential prey, starting again Tuesday next week. Shopping in the US is best done online. Just cuts the BS talk i have to endure every time out of it)

"smooth and runs perfectly" -> so does my 17 year old Philips vacuum cleaner as long as I don't compare it to anything else.

Meanwhile the majority in EU seems to think that Android runs smooth and perfectly.

Tweakers.net Poll amongst tech savy users:

http://tweakers.net/poll/1450/oh-no-kia.html

"Nokia sees number of sold smartphones sold last year cut in half, what should Nokia do to sell more smartphones?"

34,9% -> make Android phones
23,2% -> nothing, Nokia is on the right track
18,2% -> sinking ship is beyond rescue
9,2% -> have you SEEN the N9? That is what Nokia should invest in.
7,5%-> Nokia, wait Nokia... is that the dealer of wood pulp?
3,8% Bigger screens, better camera's
3,3% concentrate on Symbian

7300 votes - go on and vote for N9 :p

Surprising how many people think the plan = A WP7 = plan B and dumping of Symbian/Harmattan was the right choice.

The majority is having fun tweaking Android and wouldn't mind a Nokia logo on the generic Korean plastic phone.

730 people have seen the N9 and know what we know and could have been.
