N800 Hacks and Scripts
 

I am going to share some of the scripts I made to automate some of the commands.
Also I will be posting the Maemo Hack Guide I been working on.

This script can be modified to your likings and the code can be cleaner... Please post your coments and ideas here.

Notes:
Make sure you put this script in your $PATH
IE: /usr/bin or you can make your own enviromental $PATH. Also make sure you give it the correct permssion ie:
chmod 0755 and chmod +x

In the rar file you will find...

automount: Use for automating the insmod of cifs and mount and umounting shares

mcursor: Use for synergy... Thsi script will rename the symlink .icons to .iconsBAK so you can have a mouse cursor... the script was originally created by stan one from...

I just made a very small change.

hamachi_auto: To be use with Hamachi.... I use this script to automate a few commands for hamachi so I dont have to be typeing so much.

The guide will be release soon.

Second Note:

Please make sure you edit this scripts as they need be customize to fit your network. Exclude mcursor.

Hey, I get a "cannot rename '/home/user/.icons' No such file or directory" error with the mcursor script. I'm hunting around for the correct file path, but if you know what the problem is, that would be helpful.



Never mind. Read the page you linked, rebooted, works now. Synergy is sweet, been using it for a few months between my G5, Dell with windows, Dell with Ubuntu, and my MacBook. Now I need to figure out how to get the pointer to actually do something on the Nokia.
