HOW TO SAVE THE GAME in ASPHALT
 
Hey guys i am gtting confused on how to save the game in Asphalt 5

I checked some tutorials and i am getting really confused on how to do it..

SO it would be nice if any one can guide me to it :)

Go to x-terminal and type:

root
preenv
cd /home/application/your game folder
chmod 777 res asphalt
chmod 777 gamesave
chmod 777 gamesett

this will save your game and enjoy

let me see if i got this correct


Go to x-terminal and type:

root
preenv
cd /home/application/your game folder ( in this case my game location would be /opt/preenv/usr/palm/applications/com.gameloft.app.asphalt5)
chmod 777 res asphalt
chmod 777 gamesave
chmod 777 gamesett

will this be correct?

please be kind im a noob at this :)

Don't chmod 777, just do the following:

Code:
sudo gainroot
cd /your_game_folder/
chown -R user:users /game_folder/
exit
exit

In your case it would be:

sudo gainroot
cd /opt/preenv/usr/palm/applications/
chown -R user:users com.gameloft.app.asphalt5
exit
exit

did exactly like you posted.

played the game, tried a race.

ended the prog using the power button. ended the task.

restarted the game, still wont save. :(

Hi its very easy .... this the solution:

enter X terminal,than:

sudo gainroot
cd /home/opt/preenv/usr/palm/applications/com.gameloft.app.asphalt5

chmod 777 Asphalt5/data.sav
