There was a website called www.wirelessmodemapi.com that used to exist. It had documentation on the ISI protocols used by the Nokia cellular modems. Does anyone have any of the documentation that used to be on that site?

Already asked all the gurus in #maemo in IRC with no luck there either.
I dont think anyone out there has these documents (at least not anyone who is willing/able to share them)

An interesting problem.

It was a Nokia site,
.no doubt the documents still exist,
.we simply do not recognize where to get them from.

Nokia probably has an archive copy,
.short of summoning Ethan Hunt :cool: and his gang:

The website would have been poached by someone.
And my guess is that there is a copy of what you need
.on one of several document mining operations. :eek:

If someone around here

The document name is: "Wireless Modem API G2 V2 11w05.zip" at least thats the latest version I could find. But Google is of little help here.

Thanks, I now have all 7 zip files mentioned in these last 3 posts.
Lots of useful information there although it looks like the documentation for the SIM stuff (the ISI messages that go from com.nokia.phone.sim) was never released :(

Can you post sha1sum of wirelessmodemapi.com.zip? Other two I already have.

Btw, some header files and isi structures are also in package cellmo-icpr82-headers (I have cellmo-icpr82-headers_0.1.2009.12.1+0m5_armel.deb and cellmo-icpr82-headers_0.1.2009.47.2+0m5_armel.deb)

According to cmt-firmware-rx51 as of PR 1.3 (the last firmware for the N900), we need the docs for version 10w08. Google doesn't show anything about them.

The cellmo-icpr82-headers package seems to be a 100% match to the cellular firmware as used in PR 1.3 though and there is no reason not to use those for reverse engineering, new code or whatever we want to (after all, the package was officially released by Nokia even if they didn't mean to and I seriously doubt the bit of Nokia owned by Microsoft and releasing Windows devices or the bit of Nokia not owned by Microsoft and releasing Android devices is going to care what we are doing with some random header files for an 8 year old obsolete Linux phone)
