I've been told it's running MeeGo (N8 is symbian)...but you can't just tell from the ad.

How so?
It's thinner and the you can slide it like N97, so it should make typing more comfortable

All this talk of sandwiches and lunch counters makes me hungry. I just wish there was any info about the N9 in there... at this point it was so empty (and what little we saw of the N9 so unsurprising) that I can't seem to care if it's genuine.
