Going back on cloning system

Hi, all.

I have both N810 and N800 succesfully cloned to internal sd card systems.

Now N810 has become to act wierdly and I would want to revert back the clone process and reflash the device from scratch.

Could I repartitioning the internal sd throug gparted on a debian machine merging both fat and ext partitions and flashing??

Has the internal sd to be on a precise partitioning state??

I hope you can understand me. I feel my poor english is not enough to explain me on such a situation.

Thank you very much in advance.

No need to reflash, you can boot from flash again.

Short answer: no
You must do it from the device itself, once booted from flash or external sd.

The first partition must be vfat

Thanks for your answer, maacruz.

The most weird thing is the fact that both internal and external systems are acting in the very same inconsistent way.

Could you point me to the apropiate sfdisk command to do the job putting the external sd to it initial state??

Thanks again and in advance.

Regards.

I found a lot of information here: http://wiki.maemo.org/Partitioning_a_flash_card

However, the formatting and partitioning alone could also be done in Debian.

I am not sure if relevant - on my home Linux system an exact cloning of partitions produced a strange behaviour, due to the fact that both partitions then got the same UUIDs.
