@coderus installing one of your package gives a very good decription of the content of the package in settings/applications/adm.app.
but isn't it possible to see this before installing so you can choose which packages you really need?

Trusted repo installation
1. Download installer package: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/....0.1_armel.deb
2. Install it.
3. In terminal
Code:

apt-get update
apt-get install --reinstall aegis-install

Now you can use aegis-dpkg instead of dpkg to install package with com.nokia.maemo origin. And aegis-apt-get to install packages from untrusted repositories wiith com.nokia.maemo origin.
Code:

aegis-dpkg -i package.deb
#or
aegis-apt-get install packagename

For packages in my trusted repository you can use regular apt-get install packagename

Hi Coderus, so I've followed your instructions to set up your trusted repository but now If I try to use any of the repositories on openrepos.net at the time I try to install any of the apps they fail. I've done some test and I've found that with the changes provided by your package takes away the ability to install packages from other sources.
I know that I should use aegis-apt-get install (which is a dpkg -i disguised script) but opening a terminal window every time I want to install a new downloaded package is exhausting when before I just had to open filebox or any other file explorer and click on the file. Or even trying to use apt-get install fails to get the app.
Please let me know if there's a way to revert back to the previous usage.

I install packages from other sources just fine. Not in terminal but clicking from UI.

Re: Harmattan Trusted repository. You don't need to use Inception ever!

i couldn't install some apps, but since i flashed this moring the phone was clean i flashed again and so i can't post logs :(
i remember that there was a process blocking dpkg, but no problems with apps from the store

knobtviker 2013-07-11 22:15

That sometimes happens even on a fresh N9.
Lock file of dpkg process hangs when it needs to be released and deleted.
