[Vote] An option to permanently bind the Volume Up/Down buttons to audio volume, stop controlling profile

Do you also have those moments where suddenly your ringtone goes off while you put it into silence before (or vice-versa)?

Well, I wish we can change the profile settings like it was on the N900.
Sometimes, i press on the volume buttons without realizing it. So it will change the profile.

I wish we could just bind the volume buttons to the "media volume" instead of the ringtone profile/volume. (Just like the N900 was)
Is this possible?

I'm sure more people find this annoying.

Edit:
please vote for this bug...

No, I find it useful the way it is. Press power button and hold down the volume down key until vibrates. Silent mode. Press power button and hold down the volume up key until it gives a loud beep. Normal mode.
It couldn't be easier! :)

However to partially support your request, having this behavior on the lock screen only would be sufficient for me. So you cannot change the settings by accident while using the phone.

There should be an option to toggle the volume buttons used as volume only, or volume+profile.
This should make both parties happy...

I like this feature: I can quickly mute the phone not bringing it up from a pocket - just press power and number of volume-downs until it vibrates.

I like the feature as it is, but it probably makes sense to at least give the option to disable it.

I hope that they will add this feature in PR1.3.... :(
