Why doesn't Nokia use retina display?

I am surprised that Nokia is not improving on screen resolution. It is a day and nite difference between iphone 4s and N9 screen resolution.

for your information lumiaman, Nokia Clearblack displayed beated all screen's out in market when Nokia C6-01 was launched. Test was made by gsmarena by using all high end phones available that time. And guess what Iphone 4 with such high resolution and its retina display was nowhere close to it. Only super amoled was close it. And also C6-01 has a resolution of only 640x360 i think. It beated every device in sunlight visibility, colour, angle visiblity. Retina is just a crap nothing else. And also no one can beat Nokia in terms of harware and technology.

"Retina display" is just a stupid term coined by Apple for high pixel density. The N900 and N9 both have sufficiently high pixel density for their screen size.
And honestly, after having experienced AMOLED on my N9 and Lumia 800, I would never want to go back to normal LCD screens like Apple uses them.

N9 and N900 has amazing screen resolution and it's better than iPhone's bad retina display. You should understand the quality differences between 2 phones when you touch their screens.

Re: Why doesn't Nokia use retina display?

retina = a simply LCD with a higher resolution , apple just named it retina so it sounds more fancy .

I agree. I had AMOLED on my n85, and it was tough to go back to lcd when i got my n900. I would rather have an oled with a standby screen than a hwkb (though of course preferably both).
