Script to export VMG from PC Suite's DB
 

Hi, this is my first post here

I just wanna let you know that I've just made a tiny script for exporting VMG's from Nokia PC Suite's DB
yeah I know you can do it directly using Nokia PC Suite (but not Ovi Suite unfortunately :confused:), but I've just some trouble with the Nokia Communication Centre where it will crashes whenever I select messages to copy, and since Nokia will no longer support this software, waiting for an updated version (where it no longer crashes) will be useless

so, I manage to write a script that would read the DB (created by PC Suite) and extract all SMS's into VMG files just like what I used to do with PC Suite
and here you go

it's written in python, so for those who's using Windows (most of you who's using PC Suite :p) please install Python for WIndows first
and please bear in mind that this is my first time using python, so expect some flaws :p
but no worries, it wont break you PC Suite's DB as I only read the DB. no changes made on the DB, and since it's a script, you're free to make some mods to your liking
